Colin Kaepernick Never Talked To Travis Scott About The Super Bowl

Oh, things are getting MESSY messy…

Earlier this week, what can only be described as an attempted Kris Jenner clean up hit the internet, with sources claiming that Travis Scott is only doing the Super Bowl halftime show because he got the green light from Colin Kaepernick before hand.

Fans in support of Kaep and boycotting the NFL were surprised to hear that he would approve of such a thing, but it seemed to ease the criticism the Houston rapper has been getting since announcing his decision to perform.

That is…until news broke from people close to Colin that he actually never approved of Travis’ performance in the first place.

Hot 97 and Apple Music’s E Bro was the first to let the public know this information was all wrong as he retweeted the initial exclusive report from Variety, which claimed Travis Scott consulted with Colin before confirming his performance. E Bro claims that Kaep “did not approved this bulls**t!”

Not only did Colin’s girlfriend Nessa retweeted E Bro’s sentiment, adding that the people “need to stop lying” about the situation–but Kaepernick also retweeted the sentiment along with others to his own Twitter page.

Nessa kept on going with her disapproval of the aforementioned article, adding, “there is NO mutual respect and there is NO understanding for anyone working against [Kaepernick] PERIOD.”

Though the initial report states that a conversation between Kaepernick and Scott took place, the details of that actual conversation aren’t so clear–but it did imply Colin was somewhat understanding of Travis’ performance because the NFL agreed to donate $500,000 to the social justice organization Dream Corps.

So there you have it. Colin Kaepernick definitely isn’t going to be singing along to “SICKOMODE” during the halftime show this year.

Trevor Noah Silently Hosted The Daily Show on Tuesday

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah appeared on his nightly broadcast Tuesday as he normally does, but this time, he stayed silent throughout the episode.

Trevor is battling a vocal issue and was instructed by his doctor not to speak in an effort to avoid needing surgery, which was revealed on the show. Tuesday’s episode began with Noah sitting next to comic Mike Acosta, who addressed the audience on behalf of the host.

“You’ve probably noticed that this is a little different,” Acosta said, speaking as the host. “Well, what happened was, over the weekend, I lost my voice.”

Acosta read the monologue for Tuesday’s show, while fellow comic Roy Wood Jr. sat down next to Noah for a later segment. Throughout the episode, Noah made hand gestures to go along with whatever his guests were saying to act as if he was still fulfilling his hosting duties.

The guest hosts did not yet reveal how long Noah is expected to be on vocal rest, or how the hosting duties will be addressed moving forward on the show.

Noah was in Johannesburg, South Africa over the weekend to host a Global Citizen concert commemorating Nelson Mandela–which he partly attributes to his voice being completely gone. The 34-year-old further explained his vocal issue in an Instagram post on Tuesday night, adding that he needs to cancel some of his upcoming stand-up gigs.

“I thought that my vocal cords were healed but according to the doctor, flying 36 hours and hosting a giant concert in South Africa didn’t help me,” he wrote. “So if I want to get better I have to take it seriously now so that I can perform at 100% on my new tour next year. I hate the idea of canceling shows but I also hate the idea of losing my voice forever so I’m postponing all this year’s stand up shows and working hard on rehabbing the voice.”

The Show Is Based On Durant’s Youth Basketball Years

Kevin Durant‘s story seems to be headed for the small screen as Apple has announced they’ve ordered a drama series based around his life.

According to Variety, the series called Swagger is inspired by Durant’s younger years as a basketball star. It will explore the AAU basketball world in Washington D.C., going into the lives of the athletes, their families and the coaches who walk the line between dreams, ambition, opportunism and corruption.

The series was put into development at Apple back in February and it’s being produced by Imagine Television, Durant’s Thirty Five Ventures, and CBS Television Studios.

Reggie Rock Bythewood will be the writer, director, executive producer and showrunner for the series. He previously collabed with Imagine on the Fox limited series he created Shots Fired. Bythewood’s creds also include co-writing the screenplay for the Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious. 

Durant will serve as the executive producer for the show along with Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo from Imagine. Rich Kleiman, Bythewood and Sarah Flynn will also serve as producers for Thirty Five Ventures.

Currently, Durant is continuing his run with the Golden State Warriors and he’s won numerous accolades in his basketball career. Along with being a two-time Olympic gold medalist, he has also won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award, been named NBA Rookie of the Year, and he’s a nine-time NBA All Star.

Swagger was an early project Apple put into development and their upcoming T.V. streaming component has picked up a few more shows since then. It’s currently gearing up for projects like a morning show drama starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon as well as a reboot of Amazing Stories. 

There’s currently no premiere date for Swagger, but we’ll keep you updated. Until then, what do you think of this new venture? Tuning in or nah?

After arriving at the residence, there were several other women in attendance. The actress says she used Williams personal bathroom, which resulted in the him getting belligerent and yelling, “no one uses my bathroom.” Allegedly, Williams and the women in his home then began to beat Majesty until she lost conciseness.

During the beating which allegedly lasted for 3 hours, the victim claims that Katt burned her with a cigarette. Also she claims that during the beating one woman was “reading a book about witchcraft and casting spells while throwing questionable items into a nearby fire”.

Majesty escaped the mansion and drove home without calling the police in total fear that Williams would retaliate. She filed a lawsuit for assault, battery, emotional distress and false imprisonment after a few months.

If you watched Sunday’s episode of #RHOA then you no doubt saw the moment that Eva Marcille made her triumphant debut on the show. The model was first introduced to viewers during a sit-down with NeNe Leakes where they talked about the times they “turned up in L.A.” and Eva gushed over her politician fiance Michael Sterling.

Things got interesting however when Eva revealed that she had some intel on Cynthia Bailey’s new boo Will Jones who she says JUST introduced him to a woman he called his girlfriend two days before he went public with the housewife.
Will and Eva later faced off on the show and things got M E S S Y, especially when it seemed like the motivational speaker couldn’t get his story straight.

“This is quite messy,” said Eva. “When I met you which was once, I met you and your girlfriend. First of all I don’t know you bro, but you put on Instagram that you know me and Michael.”

“I had a woman with me and I said that. I am no longer dating that woman,” said Will. “This woman has never been around my child.”

You sure Will?

Eva’s since retweeted the IG picture she mentioned on RHOA that shows Will with another woman standing alongside her and Michael Sterling.

OOOOP! Does this prove that he was seeing someone else? Mind you Will told Cynthia that he’d been single for TWO YEARS.

Shirley Franklin Endorses Mary Norwood Over Keisha Lance Bottoms

Things are getting a little crazy in the Atlanta Mayoral race!

43 years of Democratic leadership in Atlanta will come to an end if Mary Norwood is elected over Keisha Lance Bottoms. The two candidates faceoff in a runoff Tuesday Dec. 5 that could potentially put a white person as Mayor for the first time in over forty years. This week former Mayor Shirley Franklin shocked some folks by endorsing Mary Norwood, the endorsement is being run as part of an ad for Norwood, primarily on black radio. Here’s a transcript via the AJC:

“I’ve endorsed Mary Norwood for mayor. Some people say that endorsement may hurt my legacy, because I’ve endorsed a white woman over a black woman. This election is about character, transparency, and integrity. Not race.

“I’ve worked for mayors Maynard Jackson and Andrew Young, supported Gov. Roy Barnes, and have always fought for civil rights. I am proud to stand with Ceasar Mitchell, Cathy Woolard, John Eaves, Peter Aman, the policemen, the firefighters, and city workers – all who endorsed Mary Norwood for mayor.

“We can’t stand by and do nothing about the corruption and pay-to-play politics at City Hall. We must stand together….”

It’s interesting that Franklin mentions corruption because a lot of Atlanta residents feel she was corrupt during her term because the entire time she was Mayor her family operated a business at the airport. She was also accused of improperly, without council authorization, transferring over 100M improperly. Franklin’s term as Mayor is also remembered negatively because it was on her watch that an innocent 92-year-old woman, Katherine Johnson was killed in her home. After the Eagle Raid occurred, the city had to pay millions of dollars to settle lawsuits. There are also many who point out Franklin’s association with Billy Linville’s firm, reportedly being paid by the Norwood campaign. Soooooo seems kinda crazy that Franklin is the one out here talking about corruption.

On Friday, former Atlanta School Board candidate Charlie Stadtlander provided a 150-page dossier on Norwood. Statlander said after advising Norwood’s campaign earlier this year he refused to continue working with her because she wouldn’t correct financial impropriety.

According to AJC reports:

A spokesperson for Norwood said that Stadtlander was fired from the campaign. Stadtlander said that was news to him and later showed reporters a $1,000 check that Norwood had written to his election campaign in July.

With the runoff just days away and polls showing Keisha Lance Bottoms trailing, much of black Atlanta has rallied around Bottoms. Killer Mike spoke out publicly this weekend supporting Bottoms:
